Helping churches support and value the elderly

FAITH in Elderly People - an ecumenical project run by volunteers concerned with the spiritual and personal needs of older people and especially those living with dementia and their carers - has launched a new website: www.fiep.org.uk.

It aims to build on the good work that is already taking place in churches by offering advice and support in the form of workshops and helpful publications. The group's Chair, the Revd Gaynor Hammond, writes: "This website offers some practical guides for all churches and individuals seeking to understand dementia in order to build more welcoming and inclusive communities."
